The Planning Application
An application has been submitted to North Yorkshire County Council for the development of Middleton Lodge Estate, Middleton Tyas. The application has been submitted by James Allison and Sherburn Stone Ltd.
Planning Application NY/2006/0399/FUL for: Mineral extraction as an extension to Barton Quarry (connected by a conveyor belt under Kneeton Lane); Enhancement of estate parkland and public access to part of the Middleton Lodge Estate; Renovation and conversion of a stable block into a restaurant, function rooms and an estate shop; Creation of a themed quarry garden with 50m high fountain and water feature in a landform created by mineral extraction; Reconstruction and renovation of a Georgian walled garden into working gardens and the renovation and conversion of the outbuildings on the walled garden into two holiday cottages.
Planning Application NY/2006/0402/LB Listed Building Consent for: Conversion of a stable block to provide visitor facilities; farm shop; conference and function space; restaurant and bar.
Planning Application NY/2006/0402LB Listed Building Consent for: Conversion of lean-to structures adjacent to the walled gardens to two holiday cottages and a store.
