2 September 2008:
Matters have been moving slowly with no formal consideration of or decision on the 'Middleton Lodge' Application having yet been made - however things are hotting up.

On 26 August at 10.00am a meeting of the Planning and Regulatory Functions Committee took place in Masham Town Hall. The 'application' was on the agenda and it was decided that a site visit be arranged for 15 September 2008. North Yorkshire County Council protocol precludes the Middleton Tyas and Barton Resident's Associations or individuals from presenting their case(s) at that time. However both Associations have requested that they attend to witness the site visit.

There will be an opportunity to submit representations to the Planning Committee at the Meeting at which the application is subsequently considered. Both Associations have requested a submissions slot. There is a 3 minute limit in place for those making representations to the Planning Committee. North Yorkshire County Council welcome members of the public attend the planning meetings and the Residents Associations would like as many local residents to attend who can.
